A test on October 14, two nights a week making coffee, and a plane ticket home that gets more expensive the longer I wait. Every shift I give up to study is $75 I do not put toward getting there.

Chemistry midterm

A midterm is the big test in the middle of the term. Chemistry is my hardest class, mine is October 14, and I have not started studying.

Who I study with

I go over the old quizzes with , on Sunday afternoons at the library. She took this class last year and still has the practice tests from it, which is the only reason I am not panicking.

What studying is costing me

The test is October 14 and I work the night of October 13, so I asked to be taken off that . A night there is about $75, and that $75 was going into .

Three camps competing for your memory.

Three kinds of product that remember things for you, what each one does, and what each one cannot see.

Iroh writes what you say into pages in a folder you own, so you can read every line it keeps about you and fix the ones it got wrong.

Sentences, in your folder, joined to the pages they touch. Change a line and that is what it knows.

To answer you, your words are sent to a model to be understood. A screen names which company gets them first, nobody trains on them, and what gets written down stays in your folder.

Jobs

The work you keep redoing.

Read my brain, check my calendar, search Google Drive, write it up. Set that up once and it runs on its own every morning, or every Monday, and pushes you the page it wrote.

My second brain, finally
I've tried a lot of note apps and nothing stuck, this one actually does. Iroh connects to my calendar, Drive, and contacts and just KNOWS my context without me having to re-explain myself every time. It feels less like a tool and more like a thinking partner. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to actually remember and use what's in their head.
Finally an app that solves clutter in my brain
It solves a major problem that other apps don't: clutter. I use Iroh daily and love how it neatly organizes different parts of my life and brain into digital drawers, and then connects things that lead to insights and eureka moments. Voice-to-text is solid and I love seeing the “Graph” view of my brain grow. The “Brain” tab, Wiki Index specifically, is extremely useful in navigating through large data sets of your brain. Iroh has huge potential as it continues to improve its design, looks, and usability.
Something Different
As someone who has not found great utility in AI based apps before, Iroh provides the unique experience of connecting your own concepts and ideas with one another, the aggregation of which greatly streamlines brainstorming and organization.

Your life isn’t training data.

You are going to tell it about your health, your family and your money. Every word it keeps is a plain sentence in a folder you own, and you can sit down and read all of it.

In your folderEvery provider namedNobody trains on it
It lives in your folder, not our database

Plain files on your phone, or your own iCloud. Open a page, correct a line, delete one you never want it to have. Delete the folder and the brain is gone, with no form to file and nobody to ask.

Every provider is named, and so is what it gets

To answer you, your words do travel to a model to be understood. Before that happens, a screen tells you which company processes what, and you can decline. The full list, provider by provider, is published in our policy, and we would rather show you that than pretend nothing ever leaves your phone.

Nobody trains on it, and that is a contract

Not a toggle buried in a settings menu that you have to go and find. Every model provider in the pipeline is contractually barred from training on your content, and we hold ourselves to the same rule.

In the middle is your brain, written in sentences you can read. The three around it are where it lives, who ever sees it, and what nobody is allowed to do with it.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Iroh is the easiest way to build a second brain. You talk (or type) about whatever is on your mind, and Iroh turns it into an organized, living set of pages you can browse, see as a graph, and ask questions against later. You never file, tag, or set anything up. It also holds what you have committed to and can run multi-step work for you.

You stop re-explaining yourself. ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini all keep memory now, and you can view and delete individual entries, so that part is genuinely solved. But it stays a short list of facts one model happened to save, inside that one app, so the next thing you open has never heard of you. Iroh keeps pages that link to each other, in a folder on your own device, and it also reads your calendar, your Google Drive and your contacts. That is the difference between an assistant that remembers a few things about you and one that already knows your week. A flat list also cannot answer a question that needs two hops. Linked pages can.

Yes, and you can switch any time. Claude Sonnet, GPT-5.6, or Grok, picked right in the composer. The brain underneath never changes, so your memory is not tied to whichever lab happens to be ahead this month. That is the part a vendor's built-in memory cannot offer you.

Commitments are the few things that matter to you right now. Iroh reads back through your own brain, shows you what you have already committed to in your own words, and brings each one up when it is actually relevant. Jobs are the multi-step work you keep redoing: read my brain, check my calendar, search the web, write it up. You define the steps once and Iroh runs the whole thing when you ask. You approve everything in both.

Notion and Obsidian hand you an empty vault and a part-time job. You pick templates, build databases, tag things, and keep it all current by hand, which is exactly why most people never finish. Iroh does the building, the filing, and the connecting for you. You just talk; it organizes itself.

iPhone, Android, and Mac. The Mac app is a real desktop app, not a phone window: your pages and recent chats sit in a sidebar with the answer beside them. Your brain can follow you across devices, and on Android you can move it to a new phone with a recovery phrase.

Free covers most people: five chats a day on the best model, then it keeps going on a faster one rather than cutting you off, plus three brain builds and web research included. Iroh Pro is $19.99 a month and adds Commitments, Jobs, every connector, and everyday chats without the daily limit. Cancel any time in the App Store or Google Play.

Your pages live as plain markdown files in a vault on your own device, not in our database. Our backend keeps your account and settings, not your brain. Before anything is sent, Iroh shows you a consent screen naming every AI provider and exactly what each one receives, and none of them is permitted to train on your data. Any single request carries only the small slice of context it needs, never your whole vault.

No. Voice is the fastest way in, but typing is a first-class citizen everywhere in Iroh. Talk when it is easy, type when it is not. Either way, Iroh organizes it the same.

Always. Your brain is plain markdown in a vault you own. Export the whole thing as a folder of files whenever you like, or delete it for good. There is no lock-in, on purpose.

Get started

Say it once. Then Iroh’s got you.

On iPhone, Android, and Mac. Talk for two minutes and you have a brain that remembers what you said, holds the few things that matter, and does the work you keep repeating. An assistant, not another chat box.
